With its combination of small and private shops, street cafés, restautants and sights, the renovated old town of Lübbenau invites to stroll and to go shopping in its dreamy streets and alleys. Since many years the community of interests Old Town e.V. (IGEA) and the Spreewald-Touristinformation Lübbenau e.V. have jointly achieved to breath new live into the old town and to inspire guests and locals by creating activities, such as the Easter market, shopping nights or the traditional Christmas market on the church square, through all seasons.

The core opening hours are Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 18:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am to 13:00 pm. However, many traders extend their opening hours during summer. There are free parking areas (1h) directly in the city centre and in a distance of 150 m up to 2 hours free or subject to charges all day – depending the time.
